Our deepest apologies for not posting our updates here. We have had quite the busy summer!!

We had an amazing beer dinner back in June in which we explored Scandinavian beers and cuisine. There were some real rare treats included in that dinner! We also just had our 2nd annual Pigs and Pinot dinner. Chef Thi and his team did an incredible job with the menu and we posted pictures on our Facebook page.

Due to the overwhelming response we got from last year’s shirts we ordered enough to make available to our customers. We’ll be setting up a way for you to order them from us online. In the meantime you can head over to our Facebook to see the shirts and the sizing, drop us an email with your information if you’re interested.

Next up in August … Beers of Belgium!! Our dinners have been filling up very fast so if you’re interested call us soon!

Here we go!! Menu is set for Monday’s Escoffier Dinner. If you are not familiar with Auguste Escoffier, he is the grand-father of modern French cuisine. His recipe book is one of the most indispensable tools a chef can own and the book itself is just referred to “Escoffier” as in … “Hey you poor excuse for a line cook!! Stop cooking my scrambled eggs to within an inch of their life and grab Escoffier, reference 473 and 477. Do not come back into my kitchen until you can do it right!!” … I tried to keep that as clean as possible but I think we all know that an angry chef would sound a little … stronger ;-)

Beers of the Emerald Isles … with a few Scots sprinkled in

March 26th will be our first Beer Dinner of 2012 … A much anticipated dinner since Beer WON the annual Beer vs Wine Dinner in January.

The menu is set for next week’s Italian Wine Dinner. We decided to explore some of the slightly lesser known Italian wine varietals with some classic Italian dishes. The dinner is just about full so if you are interested call soon. Dinner starts at 7pm on Monday February 27th at a cost of $65 plus gratuity.

We will be welcoming the Milwaukee chapter of the AIWF to Buckley’s on Monday February 20th. The dinner will be an exploration of New World and Old World wines focusing on some lesser recognized Old World wines and some Old World varieties that the New World has taken and made all their own …. Quite a mouthfull, huh?!

Chef Thi created a menu to reflect this exploration. He focused on using classic Old World flavors and styles while applying New World techniques and flavor combinations. The process of selecting of dishes and the wines to accompany was such a delight that we know the AIWF group attending is in for a real treat.

Of course that means we are closed to the public on Monday. We hope you all understand.

Come in and celebrate the Vietnamese New Year with Chef Thi Cao. The week of January 23rd we will be celebrating hte Year of the Dragon with some of Chef Thi’s traditional Vietnamese favorites. We’ll be running these specials all week!!
